    Weigh-In Day

    So, sort of a victory.

I stayed exactly the same this week, not up, not down. I consider this a sort-of victory considering all the chocolate and chinese I have been craving this week.

Now, if I can get through this week of cake (lots of birthdays to celebrate). I’m so close to my 5% goal, I hope I can register a loss next week.

    Wish me luck. :D

    Nice Day

    I made it: 10K day.

It helped that I subbed at the school with the stairs. I got to take 2 full laps during my prep period, second floor all the way down to the basement, across to the other set of stairs and back up to the second floor. And after work, my WW buddy came over and we took our dogs on two laps around my block.

    I feel like I earned a gold star. :)

My Mother’s Day gift. :) a semi-life-size replica of Mike. She made it in her art class. Apparently they had a paper mache unit.

Tomorrow night I have a client event on Ellis Island. I’ve been so preoccupied dealing with all the details (i.e. how to get 500 people on a ferry boat, learning about the Cake Boss so I can promote his cake to the media, explaining to my client why Montel Williams is not a big enough celebrity to…

I love your logic. You look fabulous.

    Monday Weigh-In

April 15 was my last weigh-in day. I was very nervous about the scales yesterday. I have not been an A student; I have not been tracking my points for over a month. I expected to be confronted with the consequences of my complacency, predicting that I would have gained back at least 2 pounds. But, I was surprised that I had only gained back 0.4 pounds.

I am back on the wagon today. Somehow that weight gain has encouraged me. I guess some of the changes I’m making to my eating habits are starting to take root, are starting to become a normal way for me to eat. My next goal is my 5% Star. I am just a couple of pounds away from that. I should be able to make that goal by the end of May.

    26 points today.

    New Weigh-In Day

I am switching to Monday nights for my WW Weigh-in/meeting. My buddy and I are switching to Mondays to accomodate her summer volleyball schedule. I’m not super enthused because that means I have to weigh-in right after a weekend. :( At least on Thursdays I had the chance to correct any weekend binges, plus I had all of my flex points going into the weekend. Now I am going to have to be good all week so I can keep my flex points available for my weakest segment, the weekend.

    Snow in the forecast

Day one of my determined effort to make today a 10K day.

I will have to walk on my treadmill today. It’s cold, windy and gray; it’s a good time to exercise indoors.

    I’m not walking enough

    Today’s step count: 7300

I can’t remember the last time I had a 10K day. I walked around the block. I parked far away in the parking lot. I took the stairs at work. I am struggling to get my daily step count up to the 10K mark.

I am determined. Somehow I will find a way to break this plateau.

    Scales

One of the reasons I go to my Weight Watchers Weigh-ins is because of their scales. They have scales that can weigh to the tenth of a pound, so even a miniscule weight loss is accounted for. Some weeks I’ve only lost a tenth of a pound, but knowing that has been an encouragement to stick to the plan.

Does anyone have a home scale that can measure weight to a tenth of a pound?

If so, where did you get it?

    5 May 2010

I finally got to watch this film for the first time. I got on the treadmill right after. I’m not a big fan of fast food in the first place, but this just further hardens my resolve to stay away from any of these places.
